ENERGY

OTOMODATCHI & CHOCOHOLIC

North Note is proud to present Otomodatchi & Chocoholic’s brand new single, “Energy”.

Fruit of the collaboration between these incredible talents, this is also the first single to be revealed from the upcoming EP they are releasing together titled “Don’t Stop The Beat”. For those who aren’t familiar with them yet, both Otomodatchi and Chocoholic have blossomed from Tokyo’s vibrant and prolific music scene, blending Soulful melodies and catchy hooks with Hip Hop and R&B influences.

The song is undisputedly a vibe right off the start. The beat is minimal and direct, nodding to those late 00’s hits from the likes of N.E.R.D. or Nelly, simple yet effective. The vocals from Jyodan and Amiide of Otomodatchi, although effortless and laid back, deliver a certain amount of swag lifting the “energy” right up to the roof and back.

The song is an ear-worm that will cheer you up and inject you with confidence, one of those bangers you’ll probably be dancing in front of the mirror before going out or with a bunch of goofy friends after a good Holiday dinner.

Chocoholic and Otomodatchi announce one more single is to be shared in January, which will then be followed shortly by the “Don’t Stop The Beat”EP. And who are we to put a halt on these artists' hunger for fun??

If you also cannot wait to hear more from them, keep an eye out for this bop which is dropping on December the 4th via London based North Note.

The first single from the EP, "Better Miss Me," gained recognition and was featured on BBC 1Xtra in the UK.

In 2023, Otomodatchi released four singles and an EP, with the track "Can’t Get Over Myself" earning a spot on Spotify’s official playlist, borderless, attracting a global audience. In 2024, they released their second EP, Hold On, which was picked up by BBC Music Introducing. In July, Otomodatchi opened for TAIL at WALL&WALL in Tokyo.
